Description: Provide leadership to station’s local sales efforts by giving direction, training and feedback to the sales team.  Assist all Account Executives in maintaining, prospecting and developing local direct clients and local agency and new business revenue to assure annually established sales goals are met.

  • Assist in hiring, training & development of the cluster sales department for Forever Communications’ North West Tennessee radio stations.
  • A minimum of two years of sales management experience is preferred with a proven track record of success in consultative/strategic locally focused selling.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan that will meet station’s revenue goals with emphasis on new business and interactive/digital development.
  • Possess highly developed training and coaching skills including strong skills in organization, delegating, training, interviewing and motivating a sales team.
  • Demonstrate high energy level and aggressive attitude toward sales, sales training and education, and client relations.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with everyone with whom they must interact during the performance of assigned job responsibilities.

Compensation:Negotiated salary and overrides / bonus program based on sales performance

Job Position: Account Executive in Bowling Green, KY

Job Description: Forever Communications is seeking a self-motivated, goal-driven individual with knowledge of and a desire to work with local business owners throughout Southern Kentucky helping them to grow their business through the power of local radio. The account executive will identify client needs prior to proposing advertising recommendations, conduct market research, plan and execute creative branding and promotional campaigns, and assist in driving results for advertisers.

Responsibilities: Account Executives are responsible for developing new business, maintaining and servicing accounts, and reactivating inactive accounts. Account Executives will work to grow revenue by developing strong partnerships with existing and potential advertisers to assist in increasing sales, traffic count and visibility through the use of local radio, promotional opportunities, and interactive initiatives available with Forever Communications three station cluster (WBVR/WUHU/WLYE). Account Executives will perform ongoing client needs analysis and market research to ensure that current marketing campaigns remain effective in meeting advertiser needs.

Qualifications: Prior sales or marketing experience is preferred along with a willingness to learn and a desire to win. Strong communication and presentation skills are required as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.
